This guitar strap was made for Dave as a 21 th birthday present from his sister. It is for an acoustic guitar.
Thought it was basically Anna's idea, I was allowed to consult with Dave to make sure of the length required and to see if he liked the idea which was great as I don't really like guessing length.
We decided on a simple design as we thought that it would be more timeless, I thought that the style of the initial that Anna picked was really nice also, so I flew with the idea.
Here is some tech. stuff. It is made of 3 mm thick vegetable tanned Leather hand stitched with a good strong Nylon waxed cord. The button holes are reinforced with Kangaroo leather and the buckle is also covered with the same leather.The initial was hand carved and embossed . The strap has been dyed and antiqued then softened with Dubin leather dressing, giving it a lovely patina. It is lined with pigskin suede and to make the strap more versatile I have also added an extra button hole to the tail end.
