Hi, Chantal - Thanks so much for Series "0" #040... it has quickly become my favourite item after my guitar itself. I never would have expected a strap to have such an impact on my playing experience, but since putting it on I haven't wanted to sit down with my guitar - I now find it more comfortable to stand! I can feel the natural balance of my instrument, and I love the simplicity of the rugged yet supple hide. The unlined back suits me perfectly, as my guitar stays where I want if I need to bring the neck closer to reach stretchy chords. The Pelham hook fastening is the most elegant solution I've seen to the problem of messy strap ends, and that alone would elevate your straps above any others I've seen... but we can add to the list your selection of materials and painstaking manufacture. It's rare to encounter such artistry in the production of an accessory that so many would regard as being strictly utilitarian, but to ignore it would be like wearing a finely tailored suit with cheap shoes...
